Vesa Bios Extension

When IBM introduced VGA there was a related battle over a computer's expansion bus which caused some fracturing of the VGA standard. The VESA group released a standardized set of guidelines designed to cure this problem. The VESA BIOS Extensions were first released as a device driver and later incorporated into the BIOS.
