True Type Font

(T-T-F)

An Apple Computer-developed digital font technology now also used by Microsoft. True Type is used because it gives excellent quality displays on both screens and in printed documents. The technology consists of the fonts (descriptions of the letters) and a rasterizer program that converts the descriptions into raster images for either screen display or printing.
