Resource Description Framework
(R-D-F)
An XML-based metadata interchange schema, model, and syntax designed for the Web and sponsored by the W3C. RDF data includes various resources (nodes) along with perperty/value pairs which describe the resource (e.g., a node might be this Web page and a property might be the author of the page). Anyone can define a RDF schema; there is no predefined set of properties.
